What can I expect from an appointment?
Initial visits are 60-90 minutes, which allows us to discuss your full history and explore your current concerns. I take into consideration all aspects of your health - physical, mental, emotional. Your treatment plan may include lab testing or bloodwork if needed, dietary and lifestyle recommendations, nutritional supplementation, herbal medicine and / or acupuncture. I am always happy to communicate with and work alongside your family doctor or other healthcare practitioners.
Will my appointment be covered by insurance?
Naturopathic Doctors are not covered by OHIP, but many extended health & benefits plans do cover our appointment fees and services. You can contact your extended insurance provider to see what type of coverage you have. Our clinic offers direct billing to make things easy if you do have coverage!
How often will I need follow-up appointments?
This will really depend on your specific concerns, needs, goals and of course budget. At the initial appointment, we will come up with a short and long-term plan so you have a clear idea of what you can expect moving forward. Usually visits will be closer together initially, to ensure you are beginning to see improvement from your treatment plan. From there, as you start to feel better we can arrange follow-ups on an as-needed, or when anything changes for you.
